EDDIE McCABE

INSTRUCTOR
Eddie has been an assistant varsity coach at Norwalk High
School for the past three years, and two winters as a personal hitting coach for All American Baseball training.
He has 
done various camps, clinics and instruction for players ranging from the 9U age through highschool and college.

Experience

Eddie was a career .305/.398/.401/.799 hitter and a four year starter at Georgetown University. He was awarded program rookie of the year leading the team in RBIs and being tied for first in doubles. In the summer of 2018, he won the New England Collegiate Baseball League’s
defensive player of the year award.

 

In 2019 he was selected for the All Big East First Team at third base finishing top 5 in the conference in hits, and top 10 in OBP, OPS and Games Played and leading Georgetown with a team high 22 multi hit games. Following the 2019 season, he spent the summer playing
for the Orleans Firebirds in the Cape Cod Baseball League, finishing top 20 in the CCBL in batting average and was given the organization’s award for outstanding performance on and off the field.

In 2020, Perfect Game named him Preseason Big East Player of the Year before a Covid shortened season, and was also selected for the preseason all Big East Team in 2020 and 2021.

Before graduating in 2021 he was selected for the Big East Weekly Honor Roll for outstanding performance 3 times in his career, and is tied for first in the Georgetown Baseball Record Book for most games started and played in a single season with 56. He was also selected for the Big East All Academic Team twice.

Following his collegiate career, he signed as a free agent with the Great Falls Voyagers in the Pioneer Professional Baseball League prior to the 2022 season before being traded to the Glacier Range Riders in June. He played his second year professionally back with the Voyagers and currently holds a career statline of .319 AVG, .419 SLG, and a .800 OPS. He finished his playing career in the Pioneer League with the Rocky Mountain Vibes where he started 75 games at third base.
